Tridentify
QTA Tracer System® - Enables immediate use of blood products or medicine during crisis and disaster events

A changing world requires both civil-military cooperation and stockpiles of primarily Whole Blood, Plasma and Medicines for mass casualty management and life-saving intervention. A mass casualty incident (MCI) may be defined as a disastrous event, such as hurricanes, major explosions, car accidents, train derailment, terrorist attacks or armed conflicts, where the number and type of injuries overwhelm the healthcare system.

According to NATO, (Non-binding guidelines, February 1999), one may reduce mortalities by transfusing Whole Blood (WB) at the Point-of-Injury (POI). The WB has cold platelets and thus maintains clot strength to stop massive bleeding.

QTA Tracer System® eliminates uncertainties during mass casualty management*

  • Secures full visibility and temperature monitoring across the medical cold chain, supporting healthcare resilience in any situation

  • Ensuring temperature control and quality of blood, medicines and biological products

  • Enhance traceability, compliance, and interoperability

  • Supporting National readiness and Defense resilience

* QTA Tracer 2.0 is CE-marked as a Medical Device according to MDD class IIa and certified according to ISO 13485:2016
QTA Tracer BIO is CE-marked FCC (CFR Title 47 Part 15 subpart B, Class B), RED, RTCA/DO160G Section 21, non-medical device and certified according to ISO 9001:2015

The Operational challenge for NATO -
Ensuring immediate use of safe whole blood
in every environment

  • NATO is reintroducing Low-Titer O Whole Blood (LTOWB) to save lives in combat

  • Whole blood offers superior survival but is highly temperature-sensitive

  • In forward military and civil areas (Role 2/P2)

    • Cold chain interruptions are common

    • No network or power is guaranteed

    • Manual checks increase risk and waste

Result: Unnecessary blood disposal/waste or use of degraded units

The Tridentify Solution - QTA Tracer 2.0*

  • Medically certified MDD class IIa (MDR 2026) and ISO 13485 system for real-time blood shelf-life monitoring

  • Each QTA Tracer attaches directly to a blood bag

  • IP 67 - Robust, water immersion up to 1 m for 30 min

  • Calculates biological usability using time, temperature, and degradation algorithms (patented Shelf-Life Management)

  • Built-in LED light signal, green or red, shows if blood is safe (blinking feature for people with colour vision deficiencies) - No network required

  • Reliable data transfer when communication is available

Operational Benefits  - Capability field values

  • Network-independent - also works in austere or disconnected environments

  • Instant visual indicator - enables immediate Go/No-go decisions

  • Dramatically reduces wastage - extends effective blood availability

  • Supports LTOWB, plasma & platelets - full spectrum battlefield use

  • Prepared to comply with STANAG 2136 / 3204 - for NATO deployment

Use Cases - Role 2 surgical units and mobile medical teams

  • Forward blood supply logistics (between base and field units)

  • MEDEVAC/CASEVAC transport (air, land, sea)

  • Special Forces and rapid response units

Strategic Impact

  • Tridentify bridges advanced medical monitoring and front-line reality

  • Enabling verified, safe, and mission-ready blood — anywhere, anytime
